I Love to See the Temple

On our week long trip we went to 5 different states and saw lots of Temples. Since we were traveling with my dad, that has a plan and doesn't deviate when it comes to driving, we saw many from a distance. We counted that we passed 16 Temples but actually saw 12 of them.

When we were in SLC we stayed at my sister and brother in-laws place. They live a block away from the SLC temple. It was so cool. Josh and I got to go and do a session there. It was our first time to do a session in the SLC Temple and well worth going. It was so pretty and amazing to think that the pioneers built it and sacrificed so much for the Temple. While we were there Josh and I got separated and I was waiting up stairs for him and he was downstairs with my recommend. After waiting 10 min for him I went and asked the guy at the front desk (Stephen Clarke I think was his name) if somebody could go and find him. I told him his name and he said that the guy that played Santa for his family for 40 years was named Horrocks. I asked if he was from Pocatello, he said yes. I asked him what the guys first name was, he said Burt. It was Josh's uncle that had played Santa for his family. He went and found Josh for me and while talking to Josh they found out it was his Uncle Rodger that had played Santa and not Burt. He remembered Uncle Harold too but didn't remember Josh's dad. Such a small world.

So here are the beautiful Temples we saw on our trip.

Claudia we would have LOVED to stop and see you guys. It was about 10pm when passed by your exit. I told Josh we should stop and tell Randy Happy Birthday but we thought you guys might have been settled in for the night. We went with my parents so we didn't have a car to go and venture off and see friends. We promise next time we are there we will stop!
